Fear Thou Not

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Isaiah 41:10

I want to encourage you today to trust God. He commands us in this scripture to fear not. Do not fear; do not have anxiety about anything; don't be worried. He says, “Do not fret, for I am with you.” He is the God of heaven and earth. He is the creator of heaven and earth and he says I am with you. He is the almighty God and He says I am with you. The all-knowing, all seeing, all powerful God says I am with you. You have no need to worry. You have no need to fear. You have no need to fret.

He says, “I will strengthen you. I'm going to give you my strength for the situation that you are facing. You don't have to rely on your own strength. I'm going to strengthen you.” The Bible says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. He gives us His strength. Isn’t it awesome that God is going to give you His strength.

What does that mean? It means that He is going to provide you with reinforcements. He will solidify and make you firm so that you can bear up under the pressure. The weight of the situation that you're facing will not be able to break you. You will not crumble or fall apart. The situation won't break you. He will give you strength to stand. You will not bend or give way under the pressure.

With this strength God says, “I will secure you.” You're going to be fixed and fastened and attached in place so that you will not be moved. God is going to fix you and secure you in place, attaching you to Himself and you're not going to be moved.

What else does God promise in this scripture? He says, “I will help you. I'm going to provide aid, assistance and support in times of trouble, hardship and distress.” God says I'm going to provide aid and assistance. You're not by yourself. God says, “I'm with you! I'm going to strengthen you! I'm going to uphold you! I'm going to help you.”

What is that help? It's aid, provision, financial assistance, material assistance, resources, and information. Whatever you need in the situation and for the situation God says I will help you! He will provide support for you. He will enable you to function. He will enable you to act. Whatever you need, God says I'm here. God will help you get things done.

There is no need to fear. There is no need to fret. He will hold you up and keep you from falling. So, believer, I just want to encourage you to have faith in God. Trust Him. Rely on His strength because you are not by yourself.

If you are not so sure that God is with you or you don't know God, you can get to know God by starting a relationship with Him through His son Jesus Christ today. Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” That means that He will come in and live with you. He will help you do life! That is the God that we serve. That is our Jesus! He will help you do life.

Romans 10:9-10

“... if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

The bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved. So, today, if you would like to receive Jesus into your heart and life and have access to that help and that strength and that assistance I want you to pray this prayer with me:

Father God, I believe in my heart that Jesus came and died and rose again for my sins. I choose to turn from sin and self-righteousness. I turn from my own way and I open up my heart and my life to you. I confess and declare that Jesus is the Lord of my life. I accept Jesus as my savior and I receive Him as my Lord. I submit my life to you for the rest of my life. Thank you for accepting me. Thank you for saving me.

If you believed that prayer from your heart and you confessed Jesus as Lord according to the scripture in Romans 10:9-10, you are saved.

Let us know about your decision. Did you pray this prayer today?
